QAL 2013

On this page, you will find links to all the posts made for the Oh My, Scrappy Stars! Quilt Along starting on June 21, 2013.  Hope you will join in the summer fun and quilt along with me.  I'd love to hear if you are interested in joining, so leave a comment.  Even if you have arrived here late... Don't let that stop you from letting me know you want to participate.  Better late than never!

If you are participating in the quilt along, please add the Quilt Along button on your sidebar.  Pass the word!

Please share your photos of your progress and finished works to the Quilt Along Flickr Group.

This is the schedule, but it's not set in stone.
If you have completed the work for that week and are eager to get to the next step, just leave me a comment and I will make the next post early.  Everyone works at a different pace and some have more free time to quilt than others.  So don't feel bad if you are wanting to get to the next stage and can't wait.  And don't feel like you're being rushed if you see the next set of instructions being posted before you are finished the last step given.  Hope that's okay with everyone!

Wow, that looks way too ambitious for me! But I'll be cheering everyone on from the sidelines :)

good luck with your quilt along, Lorna! I'm sure it will be so much fun! I have to get through my Beginner QAL before I can tackle another one, but I'll certainly follow! Thanks so much for linking to Needle and Thread Thursday!

What a great quilt along, would love to join in, but I know that I will never keep up what with all the other stuff I'm doing. Will be interested to see what everyone else produces though...maybe I can make a cushion!!

That sounds great! I was actually thinking of doing that myself!
Thanks sew much for dropping in. Hope you will be keeping an eye on us!

Lorna, I'm with Cloud -- I'll never be able to keep up, but I will still print out the directions for each step and save it for next winter when time is more fluid!

Looks like a fun, beautiful quilt. I've got a few projects I've got to finish first though and the quilting time is disappearing quickly with summer vacation coming. Have fun!

I want to quilt along with you...can I follow you on bloglovin? or by email? Are those 2" or 2 `1/2" squares?

Lorna McMahon said...

Oh, by all means, Julianne! You can follow me by Bloglovin' or email. To follow, please click on one of the tabs beneath my profile in the right sidebar. Bloglovin' is at the top and RSS will allow you to follow by email.

Just took a quick look at your blog and am your newest follower! I love your blog name. Sew clever! I did not think of calico cats when I first read it. I only thought of calico fabrics!

Looking forward to getting to know you better as we quilt along together! And to seeing all the other things you are working on that you blog about.

Oh, I almost forgot! Those are 2" finished blocks. The neutral background and pale stars along the borders are done with strip piecing.

Lorna:)
